The Subtle Tyranny of Corruption

The Will of the Masses

How is it possible that an overwhelming majority in our Society believe in creating a ficticious dreamworld, and are trying to cram it into imperfect reality. In this mentality, one should forcibly dedicate their lives to creating this Utopian dream. Why does this infectious bacteria spread so much negative in our Society. Do we live in a disease of ignorance for moral degradation?

A shrouded war is waging between the those who take reponsibility for their life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness verses those who wish to forfeit their lives along with ours, liberties along with theirs, and twist their pursuit of happiness into a corroded utopian government.

The Constitution of the United States was established to preserve to men their moral agency. God designed and dictated the “laws and constitution” to guarantee our liberty in America. In a revelation given to the prophet Joseph Smith, He said: “According to the laws and constitution of the people, which I have suffered to be established, and should be maintained for the rights and protection of all flesh, according to just and holy principles…Therefore, it is not right that man should be in bondage one to another. And for this purpose have I established the Constitution of this land by the hands of wise men whom I raised up unto this very purpose….” (Doctrine & Covenants, Section 101)

We should diligently seek and support men to represent us in government who are honest, wise, and who will fight to preserve our freedom. There are many forms of government that deprive man from exercising agency and there are systems that value liberty.
Defining Socialism

Wikipedia.org states that "Socialism is a broad set of economic theories of social organization advocating state or collective ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods, and an egalitarian society characterized by equal opportunities for all individuals."

"Modern socialism originated in the late nineteenth-century working class political movement as well as the intellectual movement that criticized the effects of industrialization on society. Karl Marx wrote that socialism would be achieved via class struggle and a proletarian revolution which represents the transitional stage between capitalism and communism. Socialists mainly share the belief that capitalism unfairly concentrates power and wealth among a small segment of society that controls capital and creates an unequal society."

"All socialists advocate the creation of an egalitarian society, in which wealth and power are distributed more evenly, although there is considerable disagreement among socialists over how, and to what extent this could be achieved."

"Socialism is not a discrete philosophy of fixed doctrine and program; its branches advocate a degree of social interventionism and economic rationalization, sometimes opposing each other. Another dividing feature of the socialist movement is the split on how a socialist economy should be established between the reformists and the revolutionaries. Some socialists advocate complete nationalization of the means of production, distribution, and exchange; while others advocate state control of capital within the framework of a market economy."

"Social democrats propose selective nationalization of key national industries in mixed economies combined with tax-funded welfare programs; Libertarian Socialism (which includes Socialist Anarchism and Libertarian Marxism) rejects state control and ownership of the economy altogether and advocates direct collective ownership of the means of production via co-operative workers' councils and workplace democracy."

"In the 1970s and the 1980s, Yugoslavian, Hungarian, Polish and Chinese Communists instituted various forms of market socialism combining co-operative and State ownership models with the free market exchange. This is unlike the earlier theoretical market socialist proposal put forth by Oskar Lange in that it allows market forces, rather than central planners to guide production and exchange. Anarcho-syndicalists and Luxemburgists (such as those in the Socialist Party USA) and some elements of the United States New Left favor decentralized collective ownership in the form of cooperatives or workers' councils."

Defining Communism

The encyclopedia Britannica informs us that communism is a “system of political and economic organization in which property is owned by the state or community and all citizens share in the common wealth, more or less according to their need.” (Communism)

In order for communism to form, there must first be a revolution in which the capitalistic elements of society are overthrown. Then a dictatorship is established to fulfill the will of masses. Capitalism will end throughout this period of dictatorship. Communism is based completely on atheistic and materialistic views of the universe, assuming there is no God or anything of spiritual nature. The reign of communist dictators cause fear and oppression because of forced rule among the people.

Defining the Law of Consecration

The law of consecration is God’s program for creating harmony and eliminating inequalities among men. They were instructed to consecrate their entire surplus to the Church, “with a covenant and a deed which” could not “be broken.” (Doctrine & Covenants, Section 42)

In reference to the establishment of the law of consecration, Elder Marion G. Romney said “the earth and all things therein belong to the Lord and that men hold earthly possessions as stewards accountable to God.”

Under this system, man is held accountable to provide for his family and those who lack the necessities of life. He voluntarily turns over to the Church the wealth he produced above the needs and wants of his family. The surplus is placed in a storehouse where stewardship’s are given to others to provide for the needs of the poor.

Similarities Between Consecration and Communism

Both communism and the law of consecration deal with production and distribution of goods. They aim to promote the well being of men by eliminating their economic inequalities. They envision the elimination of selfish motives in private capitalistic industrial systems.

Differences between Consecration and Communism

The cornerstone of the law of consecration is belief in God and that he created the earth as well as this form of government. Communism is founded entirely upon the wisdom of men and not of God. No communist seeks the will of God to help establish a utopian form of government. In communism, the state owns all means of production and is responsible for all production.

According to Glen Pearson, “this is an impossible situation because this system cannot produce anything. Only people can produce. They either produce abundantly when they are free or meagerly when controlled or sheltered.”

Communists believe that men must be cared for as children. They consider themselves benevolent protectors of humanity. They want to shelter us from all risks, responsibility, fear, and desire. They cannot be benevolent because they can give what they take from us. Men are forced to produce when they no longer have initiative, faith, courage, and self-reliance.

The law of consecration is implemented by the voluntary actions of men, evidenced by a dedication of all their property to the Church of God. On the other hand, communism is executed by external force, the power of the state. Those who observe the law of consecration look upon themselves as servants who are privileged to serve their fellowman, because they are serving God. They desire to see all whom they serve equal with themselves in all things. They respect moral agency and know than man cannot be forced into a state of righteousness and happiness.

The law of consecration is operated upon the principle of private ownership and individual management preserving men’s God-given agency, while communism deprives them of it.
The law of consecration is non-political. Communism is political both in theory and practice. Thus, “it is exposed to, and riddled by, the corruption that plagues and finally destroys all political governments that undertake to abridge man’s agency.” (Romney)
Conclusion

The law of consecration and eternal principles of God are designed to make it possible for everyone to increase their faith, and self-reliance to a perfect state. “It exalts the poor and humbles the rich. In the process both are sanctified. The poor, released from the bondage and humiliating limitations of poverty are enabled as free men to rise to their full potential, both temporarily and spiritually. The rich by consecration and by imparting of their surplus for the benefit of the poor, not by constraint but willingly as an act of free will…” (Romney)

Thus Socialism will eventually lead to Communism which is Satan’s design, by creating this subtle fallacitical welfare state, which would destroy any virtuous system of righteous government which fights to preserve our life, liberty and the pursuit of all happiness . The kingdom of God is the greatest hope and noblest desire of the brave and free. Let us covenant with our brothers who have fought so valiantly and bravely to preserve these righteous liberties which govern the brave and the free. Let us honor their memories, their lives, and take a stand for truth against those who seek to put us back into bondage. Let us raise our voices and be heard, and if necessary, defend ourselves from unrighteous tyranny.

May God protect us and help us protect the Constitution of this, the United States of America.
